Parkside GP Centre, Essex

The Parkside GP Centre is situated within the ground floor of a new residential tower block development in Chelmsford, Essex. The accommodation includes GP consulting space and associated treatment facilities, together with dental and other primary care services.

The project involved the new build of all external elevations and a fit-out of the interior. A small extension was also added in order to create additional waiting space. Constraints of the existing building meant that a long connecting corridor was formed between the GP and PCT zones. Colour and lighting were used to make this transition space a feature of the design, providing a visual link between the zones.
