North Road Primary Care Centre

In order to deliver services closer to the local population, the Primary Care Centre at North Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, will contain GPs, a pharmacy and community nursing services in a modern building at the heart of the neighbourhood.

Designed around a central garden, the C-shaped plan allows light and ventilation deep into the building while responding sensitively to the existing houses on the street by stepping back to maintain light and privacy to the neighbouring gardens.

The front of the building reinforces the existing building line on North Road, whilst design of the entrance and canopy provide an appropriate urban statement for this important community facility.
