The proposed design of a care home for the elderly in Ringmer, East Sussex consists of 44 bedrooms grouped into 4 community clusters, each having a range of communal spaces and shared use of a central garden.
The project involves the demolition of an existing care home which is no longer fit for purpose and re-developing the site to provide a more modern and sustainable facility.
With its prominent location along a residential road, the proposed design ensures that its massing and material choice integrates the home with the surrounding residential area whilst the careful planning of its internal spaces maintains the utmost privacy for users and neighbours.
