Murphy Philipps have undertaken, and been involved with, several research projects including studies relating to design quality, building efficiency and their application, in particular, to healthcare settings.
The practice has a long-standing involvement with external organisations, including the Medical Architecture Research Unit, NHS Design Review Panels, Architects for Health and NHS Protect, amongst others.
Murphy Philipps utilise principles of evidence-based design in projects, wherever possible, in order to promote wellbeing, healing and recovery within building environments.
